Cancellation and refund policy

Cancellation by the Customer
You can cancel and get a full refund of what you paid online up to 3 days before a group workshop starts. For a private session, which books the whole workshop for your group alone, free cancellation is up to 7 days before. For a custom private event arranged for you by Handsome, where we hold the date exclusively for your group, it is up to 14 days before.
Custom private events: moving the date
In the last 14 days the deposit on a custom private event is not refundable: from the moment you confirm, that date is held for your group alone and we stop taking other bookings for it. You can however ask us to move the event to another date: write to us and we agree a new date with the Maker, keeping the deposit you already paid. One change is free, subject to the Maker's availability; if no new date works, the deposit stays with Handsome as compensation for the reserved slot.
Workshops with a minimum number of people
Some group workshops only run once a minimum number of people has booked: you always see it on the event page before you pay. You can book on your own. If the group does not fill up, the Maker may cancel the event: in that case you get a full refund of what you paid, automatically and without having to ask.
Gift card refunds
If you booked with a gift card, the refund goes back onto the gift card balance, not to the original payment method. The gift card becomes usable again immediately.
Partial cancellation
For group workshops booked for more than one person you can cancel just some of the seats. The refund is calculated proportionally on the deposit for the cancelled seats, and those seats go straight back to people on the waiting list.
Cancellation by the Maker
If the Maker cancels the event you always get a full refund of what you paid online, no matter when the cancellation happens. On top of that the Maker can choose to offer you, as a courtesy, a 10% discount on your next workshop with them: when they do, we send you the code in the cancellation email and the discount applies automatically at checkout on your next booking with that Maker. It is valid only on that Maker's workshops, for 12 months.
