Sy Ceramiche

I am Silvia, an architect and ceramic artist. After years spent designing with pencils and computers, I felt the desire to create with my hands as well—to connect with the material and turn ideas into tangible objects. This is how my curiosity for ceramics transformed, in 2019, into a true passion and a professional project. In my studio, I handcraft home decor, furnishings, and tableware. I use various techniques, from the pottery wheel to hand-building through slab and pinch techniques, experimenting with shapes, textures, colors, and glazes to achieve results that are always diverse and personal. I draw inspiration from Nordic simplicity, Japanese sensitivity, and the wabi-sabi philosophy, which recognizes the value of imperfection and uniqueness. I love to experiment and give the material space to express itself, ensuring that every piece has its own identity. I create artisanal objects that combine practicality, research, and character, designed to make even small daily gestures special. For me, ceramics is a way to bring a touch of beauty, harmony, and authenticity into everyday life. Alongside production, I share this passion through ceramics courses and workshops, where I guide people in discovering the material and the pleasure of creating with their own hands.
