I am Barbara Liverani, a mosaic artist in Ravenna, a city where the art of mosaic is a thousand-year-old tradition. In my studio, I interpret this art in a contemporary key, creating unique jewelry, paintings, and objects with Venetian enamels, colored glass, gold, and silver. For years, I have opened the doors of my workshop to anyone wishing to discover mosaic art through a hands-on, creative experience. In my workshops, even those who have never worked with mosaic tiles can create a small mosaic or a piece of micro-mosaic jewelry to take home at the end of the experience. No drawing skills or prior experience are required. All you need is curiosity, a little patience, and the pleasure of creating something with your own hands
